Our colleagues in Trading Standards have informed me about a group who approached one of the Coventry schools on Friday offering to resurface an area with Tarmac left over from a previous job.

When the offer was refused they became quite aggressive before leaving the site.

The group concerned was using a Peugeot saloon NV 55 UOS and the Trading Standards Department have passed this number to us in case these people targets businesses on the BID.

Apparently they have received other reports relating to the same sort of thing from around the county and wish to warn potential customers of the problems of agreeing to such work.

Potential customers should be aware that in circumstances such as this there is no guarantee as to the quality of the work, and it will often be impossible to trace those that carry out the work if it proves to be sub standard.
