On 2nd January Stephen Welch joined us as Chief Executive, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained from his 12 years as Chief Executive of Chester and North Wales Chamber of Commerce & Industry and, prior to that, as Director of International Trade at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

Stephen is married to Clare and they have two teenage sons – he will be relocating in due course to the Coventry area with his family. On speaking of his appointment as Chief Executive, Stephen said: " am really pleased at being selected for this new and very challenging role which will make Coventry the best place in the UK to do business. Having worked in the private sector for more than twenty years, I have a thorough understanding of the needs of business and will be able to bring a great deal of experience to this role".
